Southville Rising -Hot Air Balloon, 1st May 2016

So, it happened that I saw an advertisement on Facebook asking me to register for an open day at Mah Sing's Southville city, and get a free ride on a Hot Air Balloon as well as free food and activities (face painting and caricatures).

It was during the long labour day weekend, so I chose 1st May 2016.

I told Steve and Naramol that we have to be there early as there will be a long queue for the hot air balloon. We started our journey to Bangi at 7.15am and arrived at the Southville showroom at 8a.m.

There was already a long queue for the hot air balloon. Guess what? We queued for 2 hours before we managed to get onto our ride, which only lasted for about 10 minutes for the journey up and down. So it wasn't up up and away........

After 2 hours of waiting, finally.......
This is where Southville City is gonna be

We were sweaty and super exhausted after the ride as it was super duper hot to be inside the basket with flaming fire above our heads. Nevertheless, it was a great experience for us. To get on a balloon ride during the Putrajaya Balloon festival would have cost us easily RM300 per pax but this was free.

After the hot air balloon, we took the buggy to the showroom. We queued for our free food truck vouchers, took pictures with balloons/decorations in the showroom, fought for our table for lunch, collected our printed photos (which you post on Instagram) and Salaree played in the bouncy playground.
