Swiss Dream Circus – 8 October 2017

So having performed in Cre organized by Viva Circus the week before, this time I got to sit down and watch other circus performers perform for me.

Swiss Dream Circus is in town from 29 September to 22 October 2017 at Jalan Persiaran 2, Desa Parkcity. There are a lot of organisers like Bonuslink, Fave, Firefly and Astro giving discounts of 20-30% from the original price of the tickets. All you need to do is type in your promotion code when purchasing the tickets. My ticket was RM78 and after deducting the 25% discount, it was only RM58.50 per person and we got good seats as the tent was small. The best thing was that there was air-condition inside the tent.

Before you go inside the tent for the performance, you can get food right outside the tent, such as popcorn, candy floss, cookies, drinks, snacks and small toys.

Cookies were about RM5 each
Our show was supposed to start at 4pm but only started at 4.10pm as they were waiting for the crowds to come in.

The stage is set
The show began with a short speech and thereafter 2 clowns came out. One of them was demonstrating his skills on the rope.

Then a lady came out and sang for us live to accompany the flying pole act. In this act, you will see lots of climbing and spinning on the pole.

We found the ladder act boring but in the end, we were amazed as to how he managed to balance on the ladder. There were a few times, we thought that he would fall down and even when he did, it was well covered up.

Then the singing lady came in again on a swinging trapeze. We thought that she was going to sing all the way through but later she performed stunts in the air that shocked us.

There was also spinning acro balance, which was interesting to watch.

There was an intermission of 15 minutes for us to stretch our legs, get some snacks and go to the WC.

After the intermission, the fun continued with duo straps and roller shoes, where both couples performed defying acts that you will not take your eyes of them.

There were also hula hoops where she could spin about 15 hoops around her body at one time.

Lastly, a man on flying trapeze, swinging from one trapeze to the other. He also did stunts by walking upside down. He was wearing shoes and perhaps the shoes are the one that helped him to grip better on the rings. He was also walking with his whole head covered!!

Covered his head with black cloth
In between those aerial acts and stunts, there was the main clown that came out to entertain the guests.

After the show, the audience was introduced to the performers and not all of them were from Switzerland. The performers came from Russia and other European cities. They came out to take pictures with the audience.

Overall, it was an interesting performance and I do recommend the show.

* As for parking, if you want to park right outside the tent, please be there early, otherwise, there is ample parking at Plaza Arkadia. It’s an empty piece of land nearby and the parking attendant charged RM3.00 per entry.
