We thought it was
a big padi field with burnt rice, but in the end there was nothing much to see. In my personal view,
it was a waste of time. However, if you are interested in history, then do come
here for a visit.
We drove to Padang
Matsirat, parked our car at an open space in front of a local market. Then, headed towards a village and cut across to our left into the local stores selling
handicrafts, toys and drinks. After walking for approximately 5 minutes we arrived at the Field of Burnt Rice. It is located at the compound of the house
belonging to Ku Halim Bin Ku Hassan.
