Go up the staircase and you will see this |
This
restaurant was established back in 2009 and has been doing very well until
today. A lot of people including foreigners and expatriates will know that this
restaurant serves very good Northern and Southern Indian curry dishes and don’t
mind paying a bit more for the dishes here. It’s not my first time here as I’ve
been here several times and not even once has the food disappointed me. I will
gladly come back here again and again. This time I was here to have a farewell
lunch for my colleague.
This
restaurant is situated along the busy street of Leboh Ampang. This restaurant occupies
the 1st floor of the shoplot. The service of this restaurant is fast
and waiters and waitresses are friendly as well.
We
ordered the following:-
Brinjal
Masala (RM7.00). It looked very spicy when this dish came, but it’s actually
not really spicy.
Butter
Chicken (Boneless) (RM15.00). This is definitely one of my favourite dishes and
I really recommend this dish. The boneless chicken is quite soft and tender. The
curry is super creamy and nice that after we had finished the boneless chicken,
we are just enjoying the curry on its own (like drinking soup).
Chettinad
Mutton Chukka (RM18.00). There was not much curry on this dish but the mutton
is soft and tender as well.
Turkey
Briyani (RM20.00). The rice was good with pieces of turkey inside.
Kashmiri
Naan (RM7.00). If you like your bread to be slightly sweet, then Kashmiri Naan
will be your choice. Raisins are on top of this naan, so when you dip it into
curry, you can still taste the sweetness of the raisins.
Pudhina
Paratha (RM5.00). This was also one of my favourite. Paratha with pieces of
mint, simply nice.
Kulfi
(RM5.00). This is a traditional Indian ice-cream. You will only get one scoop
of the ice cream and it’s nice.

Although
this restaurant is situated on a dirty, noisy polluted street, inside is
totally different, quite clean and not noisy. If you intend to drive, parking
will be a problem. You may need to find parking nearby and then walk to the
restaurant.
Overall,
for the above we paid RM100.70, shared among the 3 of us. If you go in a group,
the price will be reasonable. But if you are alone or just 2 person, then be
prepared to pay more and definitely there will be left over food. We will
definitely be back again and we highly recommend this restaurant.
22 December 2017 - My farewell
My colleagues decided to bring me to this restaurant and these are what we ordered:-
Mutton Masala (RM17.00). The mutton was really tender and juicy. The curry is also perfect as I sort of "drink" the curry. It's not really spicy.
Gobi Manchurian (RM11.00). This is a soft cauliflower. You can't taste the cauliflower at all, as it's super soft and melts in your mouth.
Chicken Varuval (RM15.00). This dish is very normal. It looked spicy but it's actually not.
Egg Podimas (RM6.00). The eggs have been fried till you can't really taste that it's eggs, mixed with onions and herbs. However, it tasted nice.
Fried Squid (RM17.00). Very nicely fried and it's not rubbery or chewy.

South Indian Vege Meal - Thali (RM12.00). I would recommend this as a started to Indian food, if you wish to try a bit of here and there on the curries, etc.
