BBQ Thai Street Food – 11 July 2016

We came here for Steve’s belated birthday dinner. Suet May had to book for a table at 6 p.m. and after booking, we were informed that we could only dine there until 7.45p.m. as there was another reservation at 8.00 p.m.

This restaurant is situated at the side of Old Klang Road and the entrance to the restaurant is very small. There were parking attendants to guide you to your respective parking lot at he sides and back of the restaurants. There were lots of pot holes at the parking lot, so you need to drive slowly.

As we entered, it was pretty busy at 6.20p.m. If you made reservation, they will give you a table in the air-con room and no booking, tables will be outside, i.e. open air.

There were so many choices to choose from. The price was reasonable. These were the dishes that we ordered:-

Thai BBQ Pork Neck (RM30.00). Very soft and juicy.
Thai BBQ Lamb (RM25.00). Another of my favourites, the meat is quite tender and well marinated.
Thai Omelette with Oyster (RM25.00). Something very different. The Chinese calls it "Oo Chien". This dish is quite crispy and very unique. Everyone should order and try this
Kang Kong (RM13.00). Nothing to shout about
BQ16 BBQ Pork Ribs (RM48.00). This dish was just alright. Very little meat as you can see from the photos.
Tomyam Seafood Soup, Large (RM28.00). This was one of my favourites. Sweet and Sour spicy just nice to my perfection.
Thai BBQ Salt Baked Talapia (RM40.00). Any fish which is salt baked, I will definitely approve of the taste.
Thai Water Chestnut (RM7.00). Not much jackfruit!!
Look Chcoo (RM12.00). Just like how it taste in the street of Thailand
Mango Sticky Rice with Coconut Milk (RM12.00). Creamy sticky rice that just a few mouthfuls will make you full. You definitely can't finish this after your heavy Thai dinner. Best to share.

The service in this restaurant was fast. Of course, we were reminded by the lady boss that time was up, i.e. 7.45p.m. sharp and they need to clear our dishes to make way for the next customers. If you want to order more food and drinks, you will have to sit at the open air area.

The ambiance of the restaurant was like a “kampung” and “street” style with 1 stationery “tuk tuk”.
